Tara Energy’s Referral Program

As a valued Tara Energy customer, we appreciate your business. As our way of saying thanks, we have created a referral program that gives you a $25 bill credit* for each friend, family member, co-worker or associate of yours who signs up with Tara Energy and identifies you as a reference with your unique referral code. 

Log in to My Tara to get your unique referral code and click on “Refer a Friend”.

In addition to getting the $25 bill credit, your name will be entered into a drawing for an iPad Mini**. You can increase your chances of winning by referring as many people as you can.

To take advantage of this opportunity:   


       1. Forward your Unique Referral Code to people you know as an invitation to join Tara Energy.


       2. Call your family, friends, and other contacts and provide them with your unique referral code.


Your friends can enroll online or over the phone by calling Tara Energy at 1-866-GET-TARA (1-866-438-8272) and make sure your friends mention your referral code to the sales representative to ensure you receive a $25 credit on your Tara Energy bill. The person you refer also gets a $25 credit on their first month's bill.




*Referring Texas Customers will automatically receive a one-time bill credit 4-8 weeks after Tara Energy begins flowing power to a new residential customer who enrolls and provides a unique "Referral Code" of the Referring Customer during the enrollment process. Tara Energy will not be responsible for issuing bill credits on enrollments received without referral codes. The $25 bill credit has no cash value and can only be applied as a credit on an active customer's Tara Energy bill. The bill credit is non-transferable. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer and is valid only in conjunction with plans available directly on our website without use of a promotion code.

Texas residents who are 18 years and older can register for the random drawing by sending a 5x7 index card with their name, address, phone number and email address to Refer a Friend Contest, Tara Energy, 5251 Westheimer Rd, Suite 1000, Houston, TX 77056 by June 25 , 2013. The iPad drawing will be held on July 1, 2013, at 10AM CST. Winner will be notified by phone or email. The iPad must be claimed within 10 days of notification or prize will be forfeited. PUCT#10051.
