Jacob & Rene Richard
Jacob Richard is a ten year old aspiring singer with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  Most recently, Jacob was featured on the 2007 National MDA Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon in Las Vegas.  Jacob loves going to MDA Summer Camp, where his favorite activities are swimming and “putting on a show”.  Rene Richard is an engineer and Stephanie is the Chief Operating Officer of the household with Jacob’s two older brothers, Andrew and Philip, and Ginger, their precious puppy.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is one of the world’s leading health agencies working to advance research and medical care for millions of Americans affected by neuromuscular disease.

MDA battles neuromuscular disease by supporting research, providing comprehensive medical and community services, offering professional and public health education and organizing summer camps for children suffering from various diseases. MDA is able to provide these services with the support of sponsors, national youth organizations and concerned individuals. They receive funds for their programs entirely from private contributions.
